Think I can see why the Bubble consoles were so cheap!

I am not impressed with it at all! Setting it up is a nightmare, they say you shouldn't have to set up again once you have finally cracked it, but we have had to set it up again each time we use the sodding thing.
The games don't seem to hold my boys attention for long either.

Anyone else thinking of throwing theirs out of the window, or is it just me?!

I got a leappad in the sales, and that doesnt hold dds attention for long either!

Pinkchampagne · 23/01/2007 17:56

Oh really? I was thinking of buying DS a leappad, but got a v.smile instead, which they love!
The Bubble thing is totally naff though!

ours seems fine. DS1 does spend more time pkaying the console on its own rather than in combo with the tv.

My DS loves his bubble. No problems setting it up on 3 different dvd players either.

They were so cheap because they have been discontinued. Which is making it very difficult to get any new games for them. I want the Noddy one but I will not pay the stupid prices on ebay.

Enid · 23/01/2007 18:05

they are all crap

wait and then get a nintendo ds

Enid · 23/01/2007 18:06

or get them a pc game

mrsvern · 23/01/2007 18:07

ahh but I can't leave DS alone to play on my pc but I can with the bubble

Pinkchampagne · 23/01/2007 18:10

We only have the Fimbles game because DS2 lost the Thomas one before we got round to setting it up, so maybe we have a particulary naff game, but after the trouble I had resetting the Bubble, the actual console was close to having a little trip out of the window today!
I was wondering how others found it, but it seems I am the only not very impressed mum!

The teletubbies game is crap but the Thomas one is great for a little Thomas spotter like DS

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 23/01/2007 18:14

no I think they're rubbish. ds got one with the balamori and thomas games, it doesn't work on our tv despite being set up properly, it just doesn't respond properly half the time which leads to endless frustration. Ds does play it on its own though.

But I think the fact it is being discontinued and not being replaced by an alternative says a lot.

Pinkchampagne · 23/01/2007 18:19

Good point, WBWIWB! They haven't even been around that long, have they?

Our Bubble is rubbish, too...got it for ys for x-mas, wish I hadn't bothered, sigh....it fgoes so far int he game and then it keeps going back to the same point over and over again, grrrrrrrr.

Pinkchampagne · 23/01/2007 19:12

Glad I'm not the only one who's not impressed!
The v.smile I bought DS1 is great & holds their attention for quite a while, but the Bubble hasn't been a great success!
