On my quest to work out which was the best broadband package for us I discovered that Waitrose do broadband.
It is £18.99 a month up to 8mb speed but with a cap of 5gb. Above that its £2 per Gb. All of the profits go to 4 charities: macmillan, british heart foundation, british red cross and prices trust.
I found it looking at the which report customer satisfaction surver. Sky was second from the bottom, BT and Virgin were about the middle but Waitrose was second from the top. Pretty impressive.
I'm a bit nervous about the capped limit but DH seems to think its quite a lot and we would pay for another 3gb and still be cheaper than BT package.
Have to say this appeals to my green/ethical principles seeing as the profits go to charity. Oh and their support lines are 24/7 and free.
Wondered if anyone used them and how you got on with it. Bit worried about what I will need to get to go wireless.
