Wooden Play Centre / Tower

I would like to get a wooden play centre with slide for DS (2.9) - no swings as garden is too small. I like the idea of a tower / platform with roof, but my main objective is to find something that DS will play with for as long as possible. Does anyone have any recommendations, including whether my money would be better spent elsewhere? I have found some wonderful systems by googling, but boy, are they expensive.

I've seen the B&Q Jungle Gym ones on the website and was flabbergasted to see you had to cut the wood! Having said that, my very handy father is staying this week and would be prepared to make it, but the product now seems to be out of stock. Does anyone else have any ideas?

TP do a metal framed one and a wooden one. They are both modular and can be added to over time. The wooden particularly is not cheap. Houtland also do ones.

We are just going down the route of building our own.
