Best place to get roller blinds?

We're looking to get some plain roller blinds for various different-sized windows. We don't need blackout, or other fancy nonsense, just plain white or cream roller blinds.

Presumably these need to be made to order to fit the window? Does anyone have any good experiences of where to get such a thing? We were thinking of going to John Lewis, but don't suppose that will be a particularly cheap option.

All opinions gratefully received.

john lewis is good value for made to measure, but have you tried measuring your windows and seeing if ikea ones will fit, and also i think that john lewis (and maybe ikea) do roller blinds that you can cut down to size (i think!)

Have you tried City Blinds on Hackney Road, frogs? They're very reasonably priced (a third of the cost of John Lewis) & quick too. They made us a huge venetian blind in a strange size for £150 in under a week. Local too. Their number is 020 7739 6206.

if your windows are standard sizes, then u can buy them at some shops (homebase, b&q etc) which could be a cheaper option. most rollers can be cut to size anyway.
