I'm test-driving one on Sunday as we're seriously thinking of buying one.
Just need to know if they're any good. Any good/bad things I should be aware of?
Thanks for any help.

Here you go - some useful stuff on here We haven't bought one (yet) - by some minor miracle our car passed its MOT this month so we have a bit more time.

That looks really helpful.
Thanks.

glad to hear that you are test driving
when I was choosing my car I narrowed it down to the picasso or the scenic and was almost not going to test drive but sooo glad I did. I hated the drive of the picasso and loved the scenic. Obviously you may like it but I'm just saying good job your test driving.

My mum and dad use one their kids are 5yrs old and 13 yrs old they all love it and have not one complaint about it. That is amazing for my parents!! Supposed to be one of the safest cars on the road

Thanks for all the replies.

Waswondering- beginning to realise it's a good value car, especially as this is the last year Citroen are making the Xsara Picasso, so there are a lot of deals out there on brand new ones.

i love mine, really do ! i have two DCs, but take my friends twins to school once a week, and the 3 kids in their respective car seat ( DD) and boosters ( twins) all fit comfortably......loads of room in the boot for pram and a weekly shop...

is it really the last year ..they are so popular !

petunia · 18/01/2007 17:09

Yes, this is the last year. Citroen are bringing in or have just brought out their C4 Picasso 7 seater (think that's what its called!) but I'm not sure what the direct replacement for the Xsara Picasso is.
I wouldn't normally be looking at a brand new car (and I really don't want to get rid of my 10 year old Citroen Xantia!) but DH says that this time next year there won't be any around. It really is a chance to get a new car for not much money (we've found a petrol 2007 1.6 VTX for £8,300 in the last few days.)
