this one is pretty good as it is fully furnished so you dont have to spend loads buying the extra stuff.

another thread about dolls houses because i was looking too. Couldn't get one in toysrus, so have gone for the playmobil mansion, as my sons have got quite a lot of other playmobil. Looking forward to finding playmobil police and pirates swarming all over the house, rescue helicopters on the roof. It is plastic though, not as picturesque as the traditional ones.

we got our dd a chad valley doll's house from Woolies for Christmas. It's a bit basic but she loves it and it was only £30 or £40 including all the furniture and 'little people'.

originally my dd wanted the mini marvellous bay tree dolls house, but she changed her mind.
She really likes the toys r us because it has more floors .. although it has been 'out of stock' on the website for ages, two weeks ago, i went to the Brent Cross one and they had a dozen of them in stock, so bought one straight away (ready for her b'day in half yrs time!)

I was looking for one for my DD1 3rd birthday and eventually went for the Pintoy Marlborough - she loves it and its something that can be added too as she gets older. Alsp other people then bought her furniture for presents - she doesn't need all the rooms at once anyway.

Very easy to assemble too. I got mine from John Lewis - managed to get it for £90 as the box was damaged it usually sells for £99 I think. If you google Marlborough Dolls House you amy even find it cheaper.

i too bought the toys r us one in store, and am planning to paint it ance assembled...or shall i do it before????
