Considering buying a Leapster between DS age 4 and DS age 6 ( lots of squabbles but can only afford one ! )

I've seen some which say age 4 - 8 and others which say 4 -10yrs.

Do they do differnt ones ? I've seen Leapster Max ?

Whats the differences and what do you recommend ?

We got dd a leapster when she was 4 and she loved it although now she is 6 she doesn't really play it much, she prefers her barbie laptop and the games we have seem a bit young for her but thats prob just cos ive not bought her a new game for ages! Ds is 3 and loves it, we bought him a cars game for it for christmas and he's hooked!

I think yjey are very good, and they do seem to learn alot from them although not sure about the age range but as i said thats prob because of the games we've got. And the games are expensive at £20 each, wheni bought hers a few years ago it was new out so i was expecting them to come down abit in price or be in the sale after christmas but they haven't!
