Combination microwave ovens

We have moved to a house which has an Aga which churns out heat like you wouldn't believe. Come summer it is going to be too hot to bear if the weather is anything like it was last year, at which point we will turn it off until it (the weather rather than the Aga) cools down. In the meantime we'll be ovenless and as a lot of what we cook is baked or grilled and as DH does not consider salad to be a meal we will need something else to cook with.

We're considering getting a combination microwave oven that can bake / roast / grill & microwave. Anyone got one? Can anyone recommend one?

... or can anyone warn me against them?!

I love mine got it just before Christmas for £75. Oven works perfect, grill is OK but you have to put tings in shallow trays on the tripod thing or direct on the tripod and let it drip everywhere, which actually works quite well for bacon as the fat drips down away from the grill so less spitting and fat burning. MNetter advised me just put some kitchen roll out for tripod to sit on when turning food.

Great at CHristmas I did chicken in it and could faff about in oven with veg and stuff and leave chicken undisturbed.

We have a sanyo showerwave and it's pretty good. I would definitely recommend getting a combination microwave.

We have a big range cooker, but use the combi micro much more as there as only 2 of us, saves heating up a big oven and much quicker.

Have a Delonghi one - fantastic - use it all the time. Have had it for 5 years and have used the proper oven in the coker about half a dozen times.
