Barrier cream

Hello MNers
Hoping to tap into others experiences here of barrier/nappy cream.

My 4 month old DD3 has lovely chunky legs/arms but keeping them from getting sore is a mission.
I am not too keen on the thick zinc and caster oil type creams as she's so little and I have to put so much on (happily use it on my older kids). Currently using bepanthen, which is fab but is bankrupting me! Is there a third way?!
Any recommendations gratefully received!
Thank you.

Sudacrem?
Might not be helpful, I rarely put creams of any kind on my DC, they rarely needed it.

But, thinking about it, I do use the left over lansinoh on their noses during winter. BT that's expensive too.

Sorry, my reply was well meant, but a bit crap!!

Thank you. Lansinoh is exactly the kind of thing I need...but as you say its pricey!

Have you tried plain Vaseline?

Do you know I haven't. But I will do! That's a v good idea!
