BATH DUCKS - quick question..

so you know when youve had a bath duck for a while, black stuff appears inside it and sometimes gets squirted out when you squeeze it...

is there a way of cleaning that out, or do you seriously just have to bin the sodding things?

can you get a bowl of hot soapy water and fill them up and squeeze...alot. Until it all comes out?

its a duck .. they're about 10p each . bin it

fill up the sink with wamr soapy water and fill bath toy with water and squeeze water out a few times, then, each time u bathe the DC's make sure there is no water left in when u tidy the toys away, works for me

clean them out with a cotton wool bud, it's better than just chucking them

mild bleach solution sucked up there bums will help to clear out the mouldy black stuff. but do rinse out well.

have tried that Q. i always run out of patience/time before the duck runs out of black stuff

bin it and buy new then every time they use it in bath make sure there is no water in it

twig - where are they 10p?? i have an extensive collection of various styles/colour/pattern/size of bath duck... i think i like them more than the dcs tbh. dont wanna just chuck em and buy new if theres an easy way to clean them... (im not losing sleep over this or owt)

Find ones with sealed bottoms.

I am now picturing an EC style duck mountain with the poor little ducks leaking black stuff from there still soggy bottoms.

I dont have a squirty duck. Mine are sealed.

hawkins bazaar have a pakc of about 12 for £1.50 or so IIRC.. local pound shop sells packs of huge mummy duck with 8 small ducks on its back for £1

i line them neatly around the bath, and scream at the children if they try to lob them in the water !

I got BIL's girlfreind a glowing one that changes colour while it floats about, I wish I had got one for myself. Must go and see if they are reduced now.

I tend to squirt most of it out, I don't think I could get all of it out even if I could be bothered. My kids prefer to play with some boats I got from the pound shop that float just as well as the ducks are don't have a hole to collect the black stuff.
