Did I dream it, or can you buy lion dung and the smell keeps them away? (Might keep you away too of course )

Vinegar apprently so the add in a crap mag I was reading at the weekend said!! And pepper has always been touted about as a cat repellant.

You can also get crystals from the garden centre that are supposed to do it - althuogh I thik they don;t work.

The only thing that the old mine of info at the garden centre said really worked is dung from an animal bigger or further up the food chain than them - I have so far not bought lion poo from colchester zoo as we don;t get many cats or foxes but if and when I do I will be secreting piles of it under the decking to warn them of the big beasty that will snaffle them up if the venture into my garden!!!

Actually I have used those blue/green jelly crystal things and they do seem to stop the cats crapping in the place you put them - once you remove what's there already and tidy it all up - but we only have a few flowerbeds and it doesn't stop the cats coming in.

Foxes don't like the smell of humans, apparently if you tie hair cuttings in old pairs of tights (go to your local barbers/hairdressers ask them to save the weeks haircuttings for you) and put them around the fence or edge of the garden that keeps them away, they also don't go near any smell of urine, so get hubby to pee in the garden (In the dark of course!) that should keep the foxes away too.

Cats however dont like citrus smell so you can plant citrus smelling plants or throw out lemon/orange/lime peel into the garden borders to keep them at bay..much nicer.....
