I'm on the verge of buying a silver cross 3d Pram system and the accessory pack costs another £70.
It has a cosy toes, which I won't need until next winter as baby will go in it as the pram initially, a parasol and a bag both of which I know I can get anywhere.

i have never used a parasol as i prefer shade-a-babes, and i use my trusty little company bag.

hello again! as you can see I still haven't bought my buggy and now time is running out!!!.
I love the look of those fleecy cosytoes and if I got the fabric would probably be able to make my own.
Someone else said parasols can be difficult on MN a few days ago.

I saw you thread last night How's your DH/ DP?

the fleece on the buggysnuggles are very thick good quality. i am useless at putting zips in, but i think you could make a pouch one easily.

so what prams ahev you looked at? the silvercross prams are lovely.

misdee · 01/01/2007 18:42

dh is fine. very sleepy, but thats normal for him. no more beeping thank goodness.

misdee · 01/01/2007 18:44

misdee · 01/01/2007 18:45

pliko mod

my pods

I can do zips I put on in the skirt of my wedding dress as my mum who hated zips didn't want to do that part .
I'm pretty much decided now on the silver cross 3D system. I need to get my act together to purchase it.
I do know a great fabric shop in London - it does a lot of stage fabric and they may have the fleeces

oh the 3d is similar is style to a pramette. it looks lovely.

peachygirl · 01/01/2007 18:52

hmmm interesting I loooked at these before.

i would actually stick with the 3d now, as it folds in one piece, whereas with the my pods you have to seperate it.

peachygirl · 01/01/2007 18:57

I have agonised long and hard over this and probably will go for the 3d now, I had a slight confidence crisis over it as the matching car seat doesn't fit in the car - not a big worry and the pushchair only just fits in. My mum had a silver cross carrige pram and I think she also likes the idea that I am following in the family tradition
Thanks misdee, glad the beeping has stopped

i am working on a silvercross coach built pram atm, just needs a few finishing touches and it will be finished (brake pads are very important).

misdee · 01/01/2007 19:03

oh and dont worry about matching car seats, IMo its better to take the baby out of the car seat when actually not in the car.
