Why is the lumisketcher so hard to clean?

Dd's favourite Xmas present was a lumisketcher. However it is really hard to wipe clean with that cloth on foam block thing. We have already used up one cloth.

Are we doing something wrong and is there anything else we can use to wipe it with instead?

Let me know when you find out please,dd1 had one of these for xmas and like you said its really hard to clean and very annoying ,it's one of those if only i had known presents.
Those cloths bear a striking resemblence to the patient cleaning wipes we use for people at work.

DD has had a lumisketcher for 2 years and we have given up with the cloths and polystyrene block and now use baby wipes. Seems to be OK. Not perfectly clean but it never was with the cloths.
Baby wipes seems to be the answer to all cleaning queries in our house.

uumm, interesting; i bought one of these in woolworths for ds's birthday in february, so not been opened yet. would you recommend a different one then??

Dd loves hers alibo, it is all she has played with since Xmas.

Despite them being hard to clean I shall be going out next week and buying another for my neice's January birthday as she spent ages playing with dd's when we saw her Xmas day.
