After similar problems dp bought me this lastchristmas from Argos.No complaints since as long as someone hasn't adjusted it. Takes up quie a lot of room though.

I have just received this one for Christmas. I suffer from a bad back and it seems to really support my lower back. I know I haven't had it long but I did have the one that twinsetandpearls linked to, and this one is much more comfortable.

How cheap is your cheap Ikea one? We have just bought a Bonny which seems fine so far; our old chair is one of these , regularly available at £24.99 (what ours cost) and sometimes free if you buy something else as well. It's v comfortable but huge.
