I'm getting my DH a dart board

tammybear · 21/05/2004 20:12

I dont have a clue. dd's father is my ex, so im not too sure what i should get him, especially since we dont get on too much lol

SoupDragon · 21/05/2004 20:12

Ex Lax truffles

Seriously though, I got DH a photo frame that took 3 photos and put a photo in of each of the DSs and one of them together. They were all photos he'd not seen before.

Sunlounger · 21/05/2004 20:15

Get him a saver book to put money in for dd

OldieMum · 21/05/2004 20:18

I could do with some help on this, too. Last year, dh made a big fuss of my (first) mother's day and then I FORGOT father's day. He has teased me about it a lot and it's obvious that he was hurt. So I need to make it up to him this year.

Ixel · 21/05/2004 20:30

I've just had some professional photos done of ds... sepia things, him in a barrel, on a rocking chair etc. A bit spur of the mo, and possibly may be a wedding anniversary pressie if I cant wait till fathers day! But very cute.

bea · 21/05/2004 21:30

hhmmm! yes! i like the idea of the photos... and actually dd has been painting today... so i might get her to do a decent one (i.e. one that doesn't end up being completley painted all over in a lovely shade of brown!!!) and frame it for his office at work....

keep those good ideas coming!

What date is father's day? I know it is June sometime but can't remember when.

Weatherwax · 21/05/2004 21:47

20th June. No ideas

Hulababy · 21/05/2004 21:48

Cheers! A while yet then so can leave it for a bit. I am rubbish at buying in advance.

I'm getting DP Stargate SG1 Season 2 DVD boxset. Got him season 1 for valentines day and did warn him that he knows what he'll be getting for birthdays etc from now on (well til he's got all 7 seasons lol)

We're going to get professional photo's done of him & I and one of us 2 and the kids, but that's to mark our engagement and mother's day (which he forgot at the time!)

Juliehafrancis · 21/05/2004 22:12

Have a look at this site: {www.sprogbox.co.uk\Sprogbox}
They have a really nice hamper perfect for father's day and not bad price wise either!

Love

Juliehafrancis · 21/05/2004 22:13

oops don't think I posted the link properly! its: Sprogbox

Hope this works!

bea · 21/05/2004 22:50

Hee Hee! HiddenSpirit... is he a Stargate Fan? me and dh do enjoy the odd jaunt through the Chappa Eye now and again!!! Still giggle over the time when the tv announcer on sky mistakenly (or maybe not!) pronounced Teal'c as a Jaffa (as in Jaffa cake!) Hee Hee!!!

socks and boxer shorts from M and S - £9.50

HiddenSpirit · 22/05/2004 15:47

LOL Bea Yep he is a big Stargate fan. He watches it every morning on Sky at 9am (he's a SAHD at mo) and has even got our youngest watching it with him. Must admit I do like it too, but as I work 3 days a week I miss it in the mornings (another good reason to get all the boxsets )

LucyJones · 22/05/2004 16:02

Is it just me or is that link not working ?!

LucyJones · 22/05/2004 16:04

Ah found Sprogbox by googling - £6 for delivery - blimey!

I was thinking about this for our summer holidays.

Also a picnic somewhere nice?

bea · 08/06/2004 14:47

Ii've decided to get him a plain white t shirt and then scanning a picture drawn by dd, i'll use some transfer paper from crafty computer to print from printer, and iron on the front of the t-shirt... for the back i might use some fabric paints to print 4 months ds feet on the back.... hope all this works!...

there's some amzing projects you could do using your printer and the different sorts of transfers that are available, bought some of the cotton fabric which will go through printer!!!
