Best Carrycot?

OK, all you pushchair junkies...

If you were out to buy a pram/pushchair/travel system thingy and your top priority was using the carrycot as as a moses basket for naps and possibly overnight too, which would you recommend?

Not especially fussed re weight, portability, size when folded, or using it in the car.

Have heard mentioned the Silver Cross Sleepover, the Jane Auto Carrycot and the BebeConfort Windoo - any views on these or any others?

i can only dream of having one. have tried out the smart and its lovely to push, its good, the edge is top of the range, and looks great. i think the carrycot is better as its larger and has lots of nifty features.

or a silvercross coachbuilt pram with mattress.

We had the Silver Cross Sleepover for DS, the carrycot was lovely and we used it as a moses basket for ages but it was a pain to push as the wheels don't swivel also I didn't like it as a pushchair so I sold it and bought a mountain buggy. If you go for this pram I would say buy it second hand and sell it when your baby is 6 months. That way you don't loose much money and you can choose a more appropriate pushchair when you know what you like.

hi there.
We just bought (2nd hand) a windoo, not used it yet as bump is not due till march! However had a good inspection- like the thickness of matress and air circulation system, on the floor it will rock gently and it's really easy to get on and off pushchair base (we have the elite pushchair, but the loola is also very popular). We will be using it as a moses basket for first few months as it is designed to be slept in overnight (some are not) and it can fit onto moses basket holders..... Bonus is that you can find them on ebay quite often and can order a new matress from manufacturer for 20 quid....

I have this from M&P:

www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product_details.php?id=2593488&type=I

from their range 5 yers ago - expecting my 2nd any day now and will use te carrycot as a moses basket for several months (depends on how big baby grows though). Its a great system and I got great use out of it last time so def worth the money.

We bought the jane matrix pro travel system with the lie flat car seat / pram. Great cos we never had to wake ds when moving from car to pram or vice versa. Can be used lie down until 10 kg (9 months in my case), then backward facing until 13kg. Got advice from John Lewis then bought from whizzywheels . was great for taking ds along when we went to supper with friends etc.

the emmaljunga edge ... how far back does the seat unit lie?
