Need to buy a DV cable (for camcorder). Advice please please please

Anyone technical out there?

I have been given a JVC Camcorder and need to buy the DV cable that connects it to my PC. On the JVC website they are £30. In Comet they are about £20. However on ebay I think I've found a suitable 4-4 firewire DV cable for under £6.

Can anyone tell me if it has to be compatible with the type of camcorder ie a JVC specific cable. Surely any 4-4firewire DV cable can be used with my camcorder.

u can use any cable as long as it fits!

ooooooo can you link the firewire cable for me, (if they have more than one) I need one for my JVC camcorder, also need a firewire card.

This is what I've just bought for 99p + £1.89 p+p Firewire 4 pin to 4 pin Lead IEEE 1394 DV Out Cable 2m

Just incase that link doesn't work, it is Listed in category: Computing > Cables/ Connectors > Firewire

Haven't recieved it yet - only ordered it yesterday, but just been emailed to say its on its way.
