TinsellyRhino · 25/12/2006 20:04

scrap that I was looking at the wrong bit... hang on , I'm looking

mumofmonstersNotActuallyHere · 25/12/2006 20:05

hit her around the face with the remains of the turkey, that ought to do it

TinsellyRhino · 25/12/2006 20:06

I haven't got one or seem one but I have just read the manual and it says that to trigger the tear function you need oly have given her 1/4 of the sheep bottle of cold clear water. It says it HAS to be the sheep bottle that it was supplied with that you give her the water in. I'm guessing you are doing that so sorry I can't be of anymore help but I will post link to manual

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 25/12/2006 20:07

Ours took a while for the tears to come out! I'm guessing im going to have to leave her to cry later to clear the water out too!!

TinsellyRhino · 25/12/2006 20:07

incase it's any more help

Dd's has started to malfunction - every time you put the dummy in, the damn thing spits it back out again !

anniebear · 26/12/2006 10:34

but does she have any tears?!!!

When you are feeding the bottle ...you need to squeeze it ...( lol... I am expert at force feeding baby Anabelle). She'll actually take quite a lot...and when she really starts the waah waaahs, be ready with the tissues...it's goes bloody everywhere

Troutpout · 26/12/2006 10:52

...and if it goes to sleep when you don't want it to, take the dummy out...and then squash it back in again...and she usually wakes up and starts crying

anniebear · 26/12/2006 19:23

Thanks

Lol

I did a squeeze the bottle, quite a bit!!

Hope we havent got a faulty one, it gave up even taking the bottle in the end!!!!!

I'm a cheapskate, so didn't buy Baby A for my daughter (ELC Baby Millie instead, which she has christened 'Baby Annabelle', hm) but when I was looking online at the details about the various dolls, I did find something about how Baby A needs a lot more than that 1/4 bottle of water to make her cry for the first time. After that, the 1/4 bottle does the trick.

anniebear · 27/12/2006 20:46

Thank you

I am half a cheap skate lol

But I got it off LX Drect with the discount codes from here and only paid £18

PMSL Anniebear am having the same problem with my daughters one. She is only 23 months old so isn't really bothered but, I want it to do what it says on the box. So far we've managed to feed her until she won't take anymore water and just keeps burping and going to sleep if you put the bottle near her. When she wakes up she whines but she only produces tears if you tip her upside down briefly. Not sure whether it is a design fault or we're doing something wrong.
