stretchy fleecy warm trousers for boys, 12-18 months

My lo wears real nappies and non-stretchy fabrics just don't fit comfortably over the bulk, so we put him in stretchy trousers.

We had a lot of lovely ones from Mothercare in 9-2size, but he's just grown out of them but when I went back I could only find one pair of stretchy fleecy trousers in 12-18months size. Due to lack of choice I had to buy three pairs all the same (not very imaginative)

I don't want normal tracky bottoms (we have lots of those). I need warmer, thicker stretchy trousers when he goes outside in the cold.

Can anyone help? Have you espied any such trousers and where might I purchase them at what cost (roughly!)

Many thanks

my lo also wears cloth.we brought loads of linen trousers in next size up and when we go out we put tights on him, also next size up as i couldnt find any warm trousers to fit.

Aha - tights underneath. Never thought of that. Thanks, molijam!

Isn't it really annoying that they don't make clothes with real nappy wearers in mind though?

I have bought the next size up in the past and just shortened them, but it's really annoying! Also, now DS is into 12-18 months most shops just sell jeans and there are no stretchy trousers in that size to be had anywhere. Jeans are no good for cotton bottoms!

Tescos do 2 pack pair of jogging bottoms which have fleecy insides, about 7.00 I think. They are in lightish blue/beige. I have bought quite a few of these as they are warm too.

Gap do lovely fleecy trousers in red and navy (but I'd buy a size up for cloth nappies, gap's on the small side), they're gorgeous and v.warm, I thought they were 10 pounds but did buy them quite a while ago when ds1 was that age. If you know mothercare ones fit, try ebay?
