If anyone has any Olan Mills photo packages that they recently purchased they are now worthless!!!!!

My sister, today went to pick up some photos that she'd ordered only to find a notice saying that they no operate in the store.

There was a contact number to call, but it looks doubtfull that she'll get her cash back.

She'd also bought a family package for us for an xmas present and is totally gutted.

No wonder they've gone into receivership really..... My Mum had bought three packages for Christmas pressies, as with farepak, if you've paid on a card and it's over £50 the card may refund the money, she's looking into this and other options at the mo. It's been done very sneakily as reported in our local paper, staff saying they were told all was going well and to push, push, push sales all week only to be told to go home on Thur last week, the companies gone into receivership! They didn't even know if they'd be paid (they were and then the money was took out of their accounts!) I believe it's back now, happy shitty christmas eh?

message from the receivers on Olan Mills webpage

How shit is that? These companies have no conscience at all, how can they direct their staff to get orders at this time of year knowing that they are not going to be able to honour them and that they will lose their money, the same for farepak, evil companies!

We had pics done at the end of Nov to give to family as presents and are glad we got them in time.

Had fab service from the staff who stayed back and extra 1/2 hour to help us chose which pics we wanted.

Then saw the same poor girl on the BBC London news yesterday saying that she had been sacked.

These big businesses must see the shits about to hit the fan and do bugger all. Had I have not gotten my photos, I'd have been annoyed. But if I worked for them and got layed off the week before Xmas and not paid..... How devestating!! Heartless buggers.
