likeabike or brighter bike??

The brighter bike at mulberry bush toys looks pretty similar and is cheaper than the likeabike. Has anyone tried these.
We are also considering a trike with parental handle, because our DS is too small for a brighter bike, should we just wait?

A friend of ours just took the pedals off their sons second hand ordinary bike so it was like a like a bike, but could still be used as a bike when he got used to balancing it, a brilliant idea is cost is an issue I thought.

bought it- haven't put it together yet- but yep at half the price thought I didn't care if it wasn't as good. Their website (the brigher bike one) looks pretty good so I decided if they put as much effort into their product it would be fine.

Its for ds3's birthday (4th Jan) so can report back then if you want!

Thanks for the information.
I like the idea of the pedal-less bike, but as it's a present I'm keeping it simple. I just need to direct the granny and auntie in the direction of the retailer and tell them what to buy.
So we are going to go for the brighter bike to keep it simple. As it's too late now for a Christmas present, we might even get it in the sales!!
