Not clarkes - who else does a measuring service ?

I went to clarkes today and dd is a 3.5G - the only shoes they do in this size are first shoes and the only colour they come in is PINK!

Is there anywhere else I could try?

Startrite also do a measuring service but they usually feature within a shop rather than having their own - you could google them and see what you come up with or try ebay for some retailers that might have a larger selection?

Startrite maybe. Did you look at the boys' shoes? Dd2 started off in boys' shoes because the girly ones were revolting and impractical. I don't suppose you are near Bath? There is a wonderful shop there.

Charles Klinkard measure too

John Lewis - Staff are trained by Clarkes I think but they also fit Startrite, Geox and lots of other brands.

Raggydoll · 13/12/2006 22:12

thanks - i think startrite usually have a consession in beatties - there isn't one particulary close to us unfortunately. I can't believe there are only 2 well known retailers who offer this service.

john lewis might be worthwhile... its a bit far but might be worth the trip for a look around.

as an aside - do you all have your dc's feet measured?

is there a rusell & bromley near you? or a jones the bootmaker?

Yes always, have tried to go elsewhere but then panic I'm destroying their feet and dash back to Clarkes/JL and stump up the cash.
Next sizes seem to have little in common with Clarkes BTW.
