Clarks Doodles shoes - Can I put them in the washing machine ?

Or will I kill them ? They are the summer fabric shoes with rubber soles and metal clasps made by Clarks. I just don't want to put them in to wash and find that the soles come away or anything because I've melted the glue that bonds he things together !!!

Has anyone washed theirs in the machine and they've lived to fight another day ??

Sorry for the borrrrrrrring thread. Yawn.

washed dd1's last week. faded ever so slightly, but otherwise unscathed. washed them on a 30 degrees wash but think it said 40 on the label, can't remember.

MsPoppins · 18/05/2004 13:16

Washed mine millions of times (Lasted whole summer)

CookieMonster · 18/05/2004 13:16

yes definitely - dd has had several pairs which have survived machine washing time after time.

littlemissbossy · 18/05/2004 13:16

yes, have washed all of ds's, he's had them for the last 3 years and they've all been ok after washing

Yep definatly, i have several times, and they wash really well.

muddaofsuburbia · 18/05/2004 13:21

Haven't washed ds' yet - but will later on today - covered in tomato sauce!

Girl in Clarks said a 40 wash with no detergent. And wash them in a pillowcase.

the best toddler summer shoes around! and so cheap! i always wash them in with all the other washing, just put them in the machine, i usually wash at 40, unless towels &bedding at 60, but these shoes did them at 40 only. they're great!

Hulababy · 18/05/2004 15:03

Yes you can. Last year I washed DD's quite a few times and they were ine. I did them at 40 degrees. Did fade after awhile but not too bad.

Just got DD a new pair and can see them heading for the washer very soon!

DS1 has Doodles slippers that play "Wheels on the Bus" (I didn't realise this when I bought them - honest!)I had to put them in the washing machine cos DS1 had puked all over them. They came out fine and still singing the wheels on the bloody bus...!

Linnet · 18/05/2004 22:50

I've always washed dd's doodles and they've always been fine.

Lisa78 · 18/05/2004 22:57

Come on Tommy, own up - you thought the washing machine would kill the song really, didn't you

Tommy · 19/05/2004 13:47

I wouldn't have missed it if it had gone - I was really surprised that it still played! After that, I think Doodles shoes can cope with anything (although I assume you shouldn't tumble dry them?)

NomDePlume · 19/05/2004 13:56

Washed them, dried them and they are in perfect order. They've come up a treat.
