ferguson widescreen tv-anyone got one??

just wondering if anyone has a ferguson widescreen tv,and if they have the details on warranties still.

we got our tv two years ago this christmas eve,and this morning it decided to go to tv heaven!apparently the tube has gone.

dh rang currys and they said it will cost £50 call out,£80 repair and then £290 for the new tube!!!dh said no thanks!

so weve now been hunting high and low for the warranty to see how long the guarantee lasts for (currys said that because we havent got the details,thats why we have to pay so much,and they didnt know if it was still under the manufacturers guarantee,even though they got all the details up on the screen of what and when we had bought it!!)

so just hoping that someone has one and can tell me!!

I have no idea about a Ferguson but when we bought a Phillips tv a few years ago, the warranty did not cover for the tube. There was a slip that we had to fill out to give us a years cover but then after that it was chargeable - if a tube goes it has nothing to do with the quality of the manufacturing so it is rarely covered (so we were told).
