Thinking of getting some for Xmas, anyone got much experience with them? I had a set yonks ago, but they never seemed to get hot enough and hair went back to being frizzy and fluffy within hours. Are the new ones better, or just a waste of money?

GHD everytime, heat up in 5 seconds straighten really well, costly but worth their weight in gold if you have untamed tresses like me!

They changed my life last Christmas, but now, one year later, I am practically bald at the fine hair around my temples.....scared to use them again but the alternative is bush hair. V. sad.

Lovely description - bush hair. Sounds just like mine. Shame though about hairline issue. I´ve got those orrible untamable wispy bits round my hairline that drive me mad - maybe might burn the buggers off. Or at least encourage them to grow in a sensible and grown up fashion.....

What´s GHD?!?

GHD is the name of the company that make them. You can get then at most hairdressers and of the web/ebay. In the shops they are about £100.

Are they easy to use?
Never had much luck straightening my hair and have wasted money in the past trying various products.
