a massive blanket, soft on one side, waterproof on the other and machine washable, for ds to roll round on outside...like kingsize size (any smaller is bit crappy imo)...does it exist, or should i invent it and make a fortune?

Woolworths do rugs with waterproof backing for £5 each, you could always buy 2 and sew them together. Not very glam but would do the job!!
