Where can I get nice empty jam/chutney type jars?

I am going to try our local Pound Shop tomorrow and failing that will traipse around some charity shops. There was a lovely recipe for mincemeat in yesterday's Times and thought I would do some for presents for the people that I never know what to get. Will get the jars before buying the fruit though just in case!

yep - Ikea do nice Kilner type jars for about a pound each.
