never used sainsburys as they dont deliver here

tescos are ok, but if the substitute something its usually crap

ocado are fab, always on time, subs are good (hardly ever get any)

ive found they are all of similar price aswell. (i go to sainburys if i actually shop!)

I've tried tesco, asda and sainsburys and prefer tesco.

I think it depends on where you are

Sainsburys are good round here and I use them regularly. I used Ocado today (you do get less substitutions in general with them) - they substitued one thing and didn't have in stock 2 things (I started a thread in Chat about the free wine not being there!). Tescos weren't great but it really does depend on what your local big store is like I think.

Ocado are great - never more than one thing subbed or not delivered. Always on time, too. And only delivered bashed bicuits once.

I suspect them to be expensive but have never compared (think there is an internet site that will do this for you?). So I get all the fruit and veg from the market next to my office to make up for this.

ParanoidSurreyHousewife · 09/12/2006 21:35

Ocado - they bring it in and put it in the kitchen (or wherever) for you. Rarely are there subs as they tell you what they're running low on as you order. They've always been on time. And they often through in a freebie or sample.

The one thing that never impresses me is their bananas for some reason but everything else is fab.

And my only other gripe was that they tried to change my account to a business one as they didn't think my address was residential. I had quite an entertaining phone call explaining that a large number of their drivers could confirm the residential nature of my address and that this is as leafy and suburban as you could get - not an office (or shop for that matter) for a mile in any direction.

Ocado - always on time (or phone to apologise/explain if they are going to be 5 or 10 minutes early or late), subs rare, long use by dates on things delivered, friendly and helpful drivers.
