price to charge for photos

Photography is my hobby and I am trying to gain experience of taking pictures of small children, as I really enjoy it (I?ve got 2 little boys myself).

I took some pictures at my Mother and Toddler group and gave everyone one free copy of a photo of their child.

Obviously these are not up to the standard of professional portraits, but a couple of people have asked for more copies.

How much do you think it would be reasonable to charge for reprints? Is £1.50 for a 6x4 photo too much? (Given it costs me 40p to print on a good quality inkjet printer). How much would you happily pay for a nice picture of your child?

Has anyone got any thoughts?

if I liked a pic enoguh to ask for copies, I'd def pay £1.50.

I think £1.50 is a bargain.

Thanks for replying. That's reassuring - I just didn't want to be ripping anyone off.
