Brabantia bins

Have concluded that the lingering kitchen miasma I have could be caused by the swing top bin

Someone has recommended Brabantia bins, but the price Shock.
Are they really worth the money or are there any good but cheaper alternatives?

They are a total rip off. If it is the stainless steel tall one, they are far too skinny, rubbish doesn't go in them very well, and the stainless steel shows every single finger mark and teeniest dribble or drop. You are constantly cleaning it and I hated ours.

I think they do slightly wider ones, which would improve the 'getting rubbish in' situation, but the stainless steel still a nightmare.

I love ours. The touch top lid makes it easy to use when your hands are full. An e cloth cleans it easily, and doesn't leave marks, and that high initial cost comes with a lifetime guarantee, which they fulfilled for us.

I don't like how skinny they are.

We got a Simply Human one which is rectangular and wide, fits lots in and has a flap that you can tap with your hip if your hands are full. Still quite pricey but worth paying a bit more for a good bin as cheap ones have always broken for me
