well-made 2 wheeled scooter

Any recommendations for a 2 wheeled scooter that will not break within a few months? My ds1 has now got through two scooters in about six months and I'm loath to buy him another cheap thing from Woolies. He does ride it crazily to and from school every day but I just feel they should last for a bit longer...

Micro scooter do a a scooter called Sprite which is somewhere around the £40 mark. Its more expensive than the cheap ones but much better made plus you can get spares etc. They are designed for adults so are a lot harder wearing.

Also scooters made by Micro come up on ebay quite often - not sure how much they sell for but if they are a private seller they start with a low price.

My friends DS trashed several kids scooters but the adult one has lasted so in the end is better value for money. If you use it all the time its worth it in the long run.
