Hello

I've been looking through the archives for info on hair straighteners and see you recommended GHS at half the price as GHD.

So, your dd, what's the verdict from her 2 years on?

Please.

Oh I thought that was typo error, finger slipped from the d to the s.

I am hinting largley for some straighters from dh. GHD ones, anyway... bump it for you

MistleToo · 06/12/2006 18:14

Thanks - apparently the GHS ones are better

Hi, mistletoo! (Who are you really?) (Is it Jools??? )

Bad news I'm afraid - from a financial pov anyway - both DDs switched to GHDs.

Isn't curlier hair supposed to be in now though? Or was that last month?

MerryPiffmas · 06/12/2006 18:15

I have longer hair than I have ever had
I need ghd's and curlers [sigh]
why did they change jan?

Glitterygookwithchocsonthetree · 06/12/2006 18:16

Ahem, JT - I told you GHDs were the only ones to buy!!!

I had some of these. They were fine, and much, much better than anything else in the same price range.

But I'm afraid they really aren't a patch on the GHDs - I splashed out earlier this year after dropping the old ones and I wouldn't go back. But my hair is pretty curly/frizzy and I do straighten it most days.

JanH · 06/12/2006 18:23

I can't remember exactly why they changed (it was 2 years ago and it's amazing that I can remember that much let alone any details) but I think it might have been just using other people's GHDs and noticing the difference.

Theirs came from lookfantastic but there was a GHD thread recently with lots of websites all at similar prices - around £80 is OK.

HTH

(lol at GDG telling you off for not listening )

I would love some pink ones but cannot pay an extra £50 for the sake of a colour. Can I ??

Oh thanks Jan (and gobble) you see if I'd seen the thread 2 years ago and been in the market for some HS then I probably would have gone for the cheaper ones.

Do please thank the dds for trialling them for me

GHD it is then!

Okay I trust you black ones it is. Just have to talk dh round. He cannot understand why I don't like the Remingtons he got me for £10 last year

Glitterygookwithchocsonthetree · 06/12/2006 20:07
