Toy Garage Options?

I am considering getting a toy garage for DS2 (2). I expect DS1 (5) will use it too.

Ideally, I want one that uses standard matchbox-sized cars. I've found one at Toysrus, but am not sure about it, it looks fiddly. There are a few at Amazon, but I can't tell if any of them work with standard cars.

(ELC had a really nice looking one, but it seems to be gone.)

Maybe I want a wooden one?

have to say 'DONT BUY THE TOYS R US ONE' its more than bloodly fiddly. its crap. all little bits and pieces lasted about 2 days in our housebefore it broke. must say the ELC one looks great. we bought a wooden one in a charity shop and its lovely.

wooden toy garage

NotQuiteCockney · 06/12/2006 14:47

I'm not that tempted by Little People, dunno why. I know their stuff is solid. We had their railway thing ages ago, but got rid of it because it wasn't getting enough use ...

Oh, there's a bring and by sort of toy sale coming, maybe I'll pick up a second hand solid one ...

the blooming marvellous catalogue has one similar (if not the same) to veneer's, about £50, which looks pretty sturdy

KTreePee · 06/12/2006 14:53

I think I've seen a wooden one in TKMaxx recently

asda have a few little garage type play sets £6 or so for police station, grage etc they are for matchbox cars. - however, they are small, and are not wooden and lovely!

Wilkinsons had a decent Playskool garage a few weeks ago.

Letterbox do this one, which I think is the same as the Blooming Marvellous one. £50 though!
