phil and teds E3 - do I need a cocoon?

Hello

I want to buy a phil and ted e3 double pram as I am expecting my second in january (1st is 19 months old). Would you recommend a cocoon? Are they essential. Can you recommend any good websites where you can get them for a bargain price. On Ebay they really seem to hold their value and are not much cheaper than buying them new. which colour would you go for if you had a girl and boy. (charcoal, red or navy)

Urgent advice please. thank you!!!

because you are due in jan i will say get the cocoon.

any colour is nice really. i hear a black one is being released over here next year. oooo its nice.

I'd second getting a cocoon because of when you are due. I found it easier to get baby in and out as well especially if they were asleep.
We went for the charcoal option as it was an easier colour to get everything matching.

Cocoon was brill.
My baby slept so well in it and great to lift in and out esp. in cold weather.
I had red.

I knew someone who's baby was in the cocoon for such a short time she wished she hadn't bothered - they are quite small I think. Are you expecting a big baby??!

When I bought mine I got the coccoon, storm cover (essential) and sleeping bags (gorgeous) all included. Google the E3 and I'm sure you'll find websites that do the whole package.

Cocoon is great for winter - snuggly and all. Plus ease of lifting ds in and out. But ds is already filling the length of it at 2 months, so we will be lucky to last the rest of winter.

I have a boy and girl. Bought red. Seems the most common colour though.

greatexpectations and kiddicare seem to have the best prices

My dd2 was due in Jan but eventually turned up mid-Feb! There is only 16 months between my dd's.

I found the cocoon essential - great for lifting them out when all asleep. Also, I used mine for putting dd2 in went I went to peoples houses etc - obviously until she could turn over etc.

I have it in red.

P&T is the best!

I agree in january you will need a cocoon...

however if yuo had a baby at the beginning of June ths year you have not used the cocoon that much!

foxy1 · 06/12/2006 22:55

Thanks for everyones feedback. Will go for cocoon. What do people think - would you buy a E3 that is 2 months old to save £80 or would you go for new one????? Thanks again

Depends on how good condition it was and what is included in the price.

Ebay have some good bargains - there is so much competition from Kiddicare etc.
