Photo session advice for 20 family members?

Would like to try and organise a photo session for all family - about 20 of us. Would someone like Venture do it?
Any deals about?
Anyone experience of this number of people?

We are in and around Glasgow.

I like the idea of the contemporary styles that Venture do - but am aware that this wouldn't be the style the gp's would favour. So maybe I just need a 'normal' photographer?

I wouldn't recommend Venture at all. They are horrendously expensive, and our experience of them wasn't a good one. The service we had from them was very poor.

I've heard good things about Ian Barry, at the very top of Sauchiehall St. We recently had a sitting for my DSs and their four cousins for my MIL's birthday. We went to a place in Clydebank, but the photos are really dull and old fashioned - plum velvet background, and the children standing stiffly like Victorians. I would not recommend it, and I wish we'd gone elsewhere. Also, if you're ever in CoffeeBean, a company advertises there, and their stuff looks really good. Like Venture, but nicer and cheaper.

Thanks girls - I'll try Ian Barrie.

I just hope a 20 strong gang won't put them off.

I guess I want a mixture of traditional and contemporary poses.

Whereabouts is CoffeeBean?

There are quite a few. There's one in Woodlands Road, one in Battlefield Rd, and one opposite Kelvingrove. If I'm in one this week, I'll get photography details for you.

thanks MrsM
