teddy puzzle disaster - help please
hovely · 12/05/2004 22:21
dd has a favourite toy which has been destroyed in the washing machine. it came from a charity shop, so I don't know where to start looking for a replacement. Any suggestions gratefully received.
It is a little wooden puzzle consisting of 6 teddy heads, 6 teddy bodies and 6 teddy legs, all in different outfits and with different facial expressions. they slot into a teddy-shaped hole on the top of the box. The washing machine removed all the transfers so what's left is just blank bits of wood..

at DD's grandma's she got a puzzle that sound similar but they go onto a base board, what sort fo size are your bears? i could ask MIL where she got DD's jigsaw from.
could you have a fun day repainting the bears on yourself, use pots of apint noramlly used ot paint model aeroplanes or models

They sell them in the toy shop near me (cambridge) for about £7. But have seen them online somewhere - I shall go off and see if I can rememeber where.
My dds jigsaw has lost 2 feet too!

We've got them hovely - I think my two would be happy to let a sad child have them, they don't get played with terribly much now - would you like?
Just to be certain, does the teddy have eg a pair of stripy pyjamas, a shirt & tie outfit etc.?

Baker Ross do these - you get a set of two (boy and girl) for £3.50 here

thankyou everybody, you are all kind and wonderful people. the baker ross link was just right, and it's a great site which I didn't know before. Binkie, that's extremely kind, but I think I'll get the baker ross ones and surprise dd with an unexpected girl teddy as well, she will be delighted.
