Best brand of suitcase?

Greetings wise Mumsnetters. I am looking to replace one of my suitcases, and am hoping to put the days of buying cheap crap that breaks after 5 minutes behind me. But I've realised that I don't have much of a clue as to which shops / brands are good ones.

My dream is a medium sized wheely suitcase, build to last but still reasonably priced, beautifully designed and with an excess of various pockets and sections. (I like to make packing as complicated as possible).

Please shower me with advice so I can make this dream a reality!

One you spend a bit more than 'cheap' on, but don't care about or spend so much that it is a problem when it comes off a plane in pieces.

Like my lovely Louis Vuitton that got twatted this summer.

Watching with interest. My last but two samsonite was amazing. I replaced it with the same and it broke after one holiday. Thought I'd just bought a dodgy one and replaced. This also broke.

What do people think of Tumi?

Samsonite had mine over 20 years.

Been back for a couple of repairs but still going strong after some serious abuse.

But that's the thing, the old samsonites were fantastic. The new ones are just rubbish.
