Bebe Confort Twin Club

Hi

I've got a query about this pram. Does the chassis take the Bebe Confort Windoo Carrycot and the Bebe Confort Creatis car seat. I bought the Bebe Confort Loola travel system about a year ago and completely loved it. I'm now expecting baby number 2. My first will be 18 months when the next baby arrives. I'm really keen to be able to use the components from the Loola because I absolutely loved the Windoo carrycot. If it fitted onto the Twin Club I'd be so chuffed (and would even travel to France to buy it if needed!). Any advice greatly received.

By the way I'm talking about the Bebe Confort Twin Club if it's unclear from the post!

After much debating, I am going to buy the twin club from this website. (if you have seen it anywhere for cheaper then I would love to know!!) Was worried about not being able to try it but just love the idea of having the seats facing me, double/single option, built in buggy board. Just looks brilliant!

Acording to the Bebe Confort website , it can fit the car seat and the carrycot.

Can I ask you a question about the Windoo carrycot. Acording to the website, you can get an 'accessory pack" so that your baby can sit up in the carrycot. Have you got this or does it come with the carrycot? Is it very big, as my DS was very long and out grew his quinny carrycot by 5 months.

Cheers. x

Hi Dragonhart

Thanks for the info. It looks absolutely gorgeous on the Bebe Confort site and I want it even more! I'm desperately searching for a second-hand one because I have all the bits and pieces for it already so I only need the chassis. I've even been on french Ebay where they are 2 a penny and begged someone to ship theirs over. Shipping costs just make it not worthwhile. But they are so much cheaper - there's one going for about 60 pounds on there at the moment. I've also found 2 french department stores that stock it Bebe 9 and Aubert and they're coming up much cheaper than anything I found here. Almost tempting to do a day-trip!
The Windoo carrycot is great but my little girl was quite a big baby and she was out of it around 5 months. It's (dare I say it!) slightly coffin shaped and where it tapers at the ends is where it got a bit snug for her. That was when I began to envy the square shaped Bugaboo carrycot that my friends had. The accessory pack it came with just allowed the carrycot to be fastened to the back seat of the car and I think some straps to secure her properly into the carrycot. We never used it that way following that scary Which report about using carrycots as car-seats. There was nothing to allow her to sit up in it as far as I'm aware. But in the early days it was utterly invaluable and she slept in it the entire time preferring it to her crib or cot.
Well, I shall continue my search for a second hand chassis! There's def a business opportunity to go to France and buy up all the second hand Twin Clubs and flog them here!
Regards x (ps if you see a second hand chassis and don't want it yourself give us a shout - cheers)

Thanks Larsy, will look for it on the web as it says you can get one on the Bebe Confort Website and thought it would make it last a bit longer.

There was one on Ebay last week and one afew weeks ago, so I would keep looking. Both went for about £250 which while itis much cheaper than the full price ones is still not that cheap. Good Luck. xx

Dragonhart · 03/12/2006 15:21

Larsy, found the "comfort kit" for the Windoo Carrycot on this website (at the bottom of the page if you scroll down) if you are interested.

Good Luck with your preg and baby. xxx

Dragonhart · 03/12/2006 21:55

Oops! Forgot to put the link on!

here!

Larsy89 · 04/12/2006 22:21

Thank you for the link. That's really interesting because there was def nothing like that when I first bought the Windoo. As my baby got older and more interested in what was going on around her I used to prop her up so she was in a semi sitting position like a little old granny and could see over the sides. I am now of course going to have to buy the kit for number 2, just so I can see exactly what it is! if it is a prop uppy kit that would be fun.

A quick question about the Twin Club - do you know if the seat hammock from the Loola fits onto the Twin Club chassis? I'm assuming it does because I think it has the same fittings as the Windoo and the Creatis car seat both of which go on the T C chassis.

Have you ordered yours yet? Would you let me know how you get on with it as I think your baby is due quite awhile before mine (I'm not due til summer). Only if you get a moment as I'm sure you will be rushed off your feet.

Take care

Hi Dragonhart
I emailed that website last night to ask about the Windoo comfort kit and what it entailed and they wrote back this morning saying that it has been discontinued by the manufacturer and they need to remove it from their website. I guess we'll never know exactly what it was...

Gutted Larsy! Was really sold on it but quite surprised that I could only find it on one website!

I have emailed the customer care at Dorel about the raincovers and hoods, all seems very confusing and expensive (raincovers for about £85! and hoods for £40 each!). As it is still on their website will ask them if you can still get it. Maybe discontinued in UK not EU?

Will def let you know how I get on. Ordering it this week when I have found out the hood/raincover prob either from Justone (direct from Manufacturer) or Babie.ie (irish website).

Not sure about the seat thing, know that the website says the opera seat when there is only one seat on and the twin club seat when there are two. As you say all the fittings are the same so maybe but not sure if it would fold with it on?

I emailed their customercare dept from the address on this website

If you were thinking of going to france the woman on this link got hers for cheaper than I am getting mine. Might be worth looking into if you have more time. here

Dragonhart · 05/12/2006 16:35

Just got email about the comfort kit and the lady in their customer care dept said:

"There is a comfort kit available for the Windoo which we do not have in stock at
the moment. The comfort kit can be ordered by contacting us on 01842 763281."

So will try ringing it when I get the carrycot and let you know!

Dragonhart · 06/12/2006 11:51

Just ordered it! Very excited!

Larsy89 · 07/12/2006 21:58

Is that the Windoo or the Twin Club? Very interested to hear how you get on.
I've persuaded some poor french man I've been bothering with my appauling french emails to send the pram to England if I win it on French ebay. I keep getting very nervous about the whole thing; I've never seen the pram in the flesh, haven't measured our car boot and it's still early days in my pregnancy. All of which I think, leaves my husband to think I've gone a bit loony.
By the way, I searched for the Windoo on french ebay because I wanted to see if any came with the comfort kit and if there were any pics. There's no pics of the actual kit but some listings do mention the comfort kit and this is somebody's description of it from one of the listings; roughly translated from French, they write " KIT CONFORT WINDOO: head and back wedge to raise the baby in order to favour his (eveil?) and for his comfort after meals."
Good luck. Keep me posted.

Ordered the Twin Club. Havent ordered the windoo yet as they were not sure what colour would take the least time so just said to get whichever could get here asap. Been told they are not very reliable so hoping it is here at least before end of Jan!

I havent pushed one either, think I must be mad too as it is pretty expencive! DH def thinks I am crazy but is just going along with it!!

Will let you know as soon as I have driven it.

BTW your French skills must be pretty good! Dont think I could remember much from school.

Dragonhart · 22/12/2006 19:26

Yey! Got my twin club today!

Seems really good so far.

Plus points:
Handle height is really high (I am quite tall!)
Seats are reclinable and even though they say only suitable from 6 months, they ly flatter than alot of the so called suitable from birth I have seen.
Really easy to use and put up and down
Seems really manoverable (have only pushed it around the house though).
Shopping basket is huge and seems really easy to access.
Really easy to clip seats on and use them.
(sure there are more but not found them yet!)

Negatives (although would not stop me buying it):
It is quite heavy and long. We have a mondeo estate so will be fine but if you had a small car then you would really struggle.
When you collapse it, it is not free standing
Some of the seat combinations make it harder to colapse with the seat units on eg both seats facing you. Just make it larger when folded though, they dont stop it from folding.

I am really pleased and def dont regret buying it. Got really excited when it came! Sad I know!

Will let you know how it goes when I get the carrycot and have the baby. (eek- only 2 weeks to go!! I am really hoping it holds on til after christmas now though as dont fancy a christmas in hospital!)

Dragonhart · 22/12/2006 19:26

Sorry just read my message and realised how many 'really's I used. As you can see pretty excited!

Belgianchox · 27/12/2006 21:56

hi, quick hi-jack here, but in case anyone's interested I have a Windoo in perfect condition in black which I would sell..... Let me know if anyone wants to see piccies.

Thanks!

Larsy89 · 27/12/2006 22:46

Hi Dragonhart I hope you made it safely through Christmas at home and didn't have to suffer any roast turkey in a maternity unit! I was very heavily pregnant this time last year and was also desperate not to have a Christmas baby.
Many thanks for the info on the Twin Club. Interesting about the size of it - we have a Ford Focus C-max which has a largish boot but not quite estate size so I'll need to get the tape measure out.
I still haven't managed to find out if the seat from the Loola clips onto the chassis of the Twin Club. I emailed Dorel and they told me to contact Dorel in trhe Netherlands but I haven't heard back yet. I've also been pipped at the post a couple of times on French ebay when bidding and usually after much begging the seller to agree to send it to the UK. So I'm giving it a rest now and going to let the pregnancy progress double buggy free for the mo.
Anyway, best of luck with everything ... the pram and the new baby.
