curtain pole thing type question

We have a lovely brown velvet curtain that we need to hang over our front door to stop the horrendous draft in the hall.

I need a curtain rail, a flat thing that you feed the hooks into and then hang curtian from. In other words it's not tab top or anything.

Tried John lewis online but couldn't see anything. Where else might sell them?

You probably need a curtain track. How about Paul Simon,Roseby's,Debenham's or any curtain dshop really.I'm just about the throw one away-where abouts are you?

Woolies sell them, or any of the DIY stores. I was in B&Q on Sat and they have metal ones as well as plastic, which might be better for a heavy door curtain.

You can also hang gathered curtains on a pole - you get rings with a hook on the end which tucks into the gathers. I will try and find you a pic from Argos

Homebase or B and Q - they have quite a selection of curtain rails I think.

See here TC. (Not suggesting the blue racing car with the brown velvet of course )

I think you might be looking for a portiere rod or track, they're specifically made to hang curtains on doors as they rise when the door's opened. Try tracks and poles website or just google portiere.
