iron on school name tags

I have some, they were super cheap so I don't care if they wash off in four weeks I just need them now!

But being a bit dense... the bag says wash at 40 degrees, iron at 160 degrees for 16 seconds.

So I'm assuming it just means don't wash higher than that.

But does it literally mean hold the iron down for 16 seconds? Won't the item burn?

And do they have a backing? they're just on a long strip. I'm so confused!

Hi lunavix... I used a damp teatowel and pressed on that so it didn't damage the fabric..
I'm also assuming it means don't was higher than 40 degrees...
they don't usually have any backing... just iron...
glad your expecting them to fall off within 4 weeks.. they usually do!

(I've now brought a fabric pen... works much better)...
