i think m&s are trying to make sure everyone can shop there without needing to go elsewhere. There was a gap between kids and adults and they decided to bridge it.
I dont buy clothes from m&s tho as they are not my style. I buy their shoes and had soft loafers for work. I also had their flip flops in 3 colours last year when pregnant as my feet and ankles were swollen.
I do wonder why the dont have a maternity range, they probably will soon.
I like the food and the low fat range is very nice. I also like some of the textiles.

I bought the flat suede mules in red and they have them in about 5 other colours and suede loafers too. Love them

I tried the wedges but can't get my horrid wide feet in them, ended up buying two pairs of their Footglove high heeled sandals. I nearly cried in the shop as I could get my feet in them and they feel so pretty (sorry, sad I know).

I also bought the striped skirt from Per Una that has a hankie hem, really liked it.

As for the children's clothes, it's overpriced, £16 for pyjamas, Ha Ha. I went to Brent Cross on Friday and there were no summer dresses just garish shorts and t-shirts for 5 year olds.

I admit, I too happily pay extra for Boden as to me it feels special where M&S doesn't.

and why is ALL their swimwear slimy shiny stuff? I want nice stretchy cotton lycra

And why is it all the candidates for top job at M&S are men, apparently? They need a woman to tell them what women want to buy as the blokes clearly don't know!
