There is a lovely toy shop in Bath, in the Podium, I think it's called My Small World. Anyway, they have some nice wooden kitchenny things. Dd2 loves playing in there - it's a v. friendly shop. Their phone number is 01225 338668 in case it's any use.

AitchTwoOh · 27/11/2006 11:22

verdbaudet has a pink cooker and a sink for £30
and costco had an AMAZING cooker, sink and fridge last time i was there.

ComeOVeneer · 27/11/2006 11:24

this doesn't look too plasticky (sp) and has loads of features.

1980cat · 27/11/2006 11:28

what about this one

noonar · 27/11/2006 11:29

thanks! they all look good.

vertbadet not delivering till w/c 25th

1980cat, its out of stock...aaagh.

doormat · 27/11/2006 11:32

they had a nice little blender and other accessory set in asda too the other day
for kids kitchens

MrsBadger · 27/11/2006 11:37

I love the Pintoys stuff but it has a very different look and feel to the average Little Tikes stuff - this may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your viewpoint...
(Is also rock solid and very well made)

This ELC one is lovely but unfortunately out of stock - they have a smaller, less fancy version here though, which is similar in concept to the Pintoys one but cheaper and with more bits.

As for plastic ones, I think this is the best of the bunch as it looks more like a real kitchen than some of the more garish ones out there.

1980cat · 27/11/2006 11:41

I just noticed that, sorry. Dd has the smaller wooden one but it is quite small don't know if two could play with it at the same time.

AitchTwoOh · 27/11/2006 11:47

verdbaudet aren't delivering until the 25th december?! really? they are a bunch or idiots...

kittyschristmascrackers · 27/11/2006 12:11

gltc do a super big wooden one. Bought one last year for the dd's and three can play easily on it here and also here the second one is cheaper.

MrsBadger · 27/11/2006 12:18

oh I love that second GLTC one - fab colour too! (hate pink kitchens that imply Cooking Is For Girls)

This one is quite nice but might be too small depending on age of dds - this one is nice too and has a small footprint if you're short on floorspace.

noonar · 27/11/2006 18:34

thanks so much. dds are 2.5 and 4.75.

i prefer the natural wood/ plain ones, but the dds will love the plastic ones with all the gadgets. i think the 2 from GLC are my faves so far.

red one is smaller but less subtle. they tend to play in living room , so we'll have to look at it all day long! (we have a large thru longe- 2 big rooms knpcked through, so this is not as bad as it sounds)

Noonar, had a look round for you. The only place I could find at the mo is ebay here

noonar · 27/11/2006 20:43

kitty, thats really kind of you. at least the colour is a bit more subtle than the red!

Olihan · 27/11/2006 20:46

Haven't seen a link to Blooming Marvellous, they do these three , varying prices and styles.

kittyschristmascrackers · 27/11/2006 20:55

Noonar, the bigger kidkraft kitchen is the best value for money I have come across because it is so big!!
There is one on that ebay list going for £150 including p&p which would make it the same as if it was bought from gltc, worth a thought.

bananaloaf · 27/11/2006 20:58

i know tescos are going ones but are not wooden

noonar · 27/11/2006 21:08

olihan, that blooming marvellous one looks perfect, if a little pricy!

kitty, i'm not so keen on the retro kidikraft kitchen. did you see the other version on ebay?
will look at tesco. ta.

OP posts:
kittyschristmascrackers · 27/11/2006 21:11

Sorry Noonar it isn't there. Aren't gltc getting any more in?

noonar · 27/11/2006 21:20

not sure. the BM one looks like it could be made by the same people , tho.
