Recaro carseats - are they really that good?

I hope so... have just ordered 4!! Dts are 23 months now, is it really safe to put them in a recaro start from this age. Manufacturers guide says 9 months. We have the booster cushion sets thrown in, for them.

personally, unless they are HUGE i wouldnt put any child under 3 in a seat without a 5 point harness... and unless they were over 15kg i wouldnt even put a child that was 3 years old in without a 5 point harness, as all the research shows they are SO much safer in a seat with a 5 point harness!

I've been looking at them as well the start has an impact cushion you can put across their laps that they recommend for under fours I think.
