Flannelnet cotbed sheets??

where did you get yours from?

DH has a theory were testing tonight, boy doens't like his cotbed sheets as they're thin cotton and not warm on a night he'll sleep on us at 2.30am but then scream when laid on his cold bed so tongiht we have a fleecey blanket underneath him the length of the bed, will do as a short term but we will eventually need more sheets as I got the cheap/cheerful oens so would really like some thicker better quality ones. preferable flannelnet.

so where is the best place to go. i'm after good quality hard wearing not too expensive (ie £20 each or something silly) but if possible would like them to do a good few years

any ideas?

I got 4 mothercare the other day for £4.40!!

are terry's just as good as flannelnet?

will sheets last that long - as in a few years for a baby?

I got some from sainsburies a little while ago. They were about £16 for 2 if I remember rightly and have lasted really well.

I like the Mothercare ones, they seem to be lasting well and feel cosy

will look on ebay/mothercare as well, we're trying the blanket tonight to see what if any effect it has, he's got a gro bag on so i'm worried about sid's and also over heating with the blanket underneath. and would prefer the sheets I think.

ooh sorry last question - what do any/all of them wash up like?

flannelette washes up really well, gets softer and softer.
i use flannel sheetes for my girls too, ones in a cot - sheets from john lewis, and other in toddler bed - made sheetes for that.
i did have mothercare ones for cot, but the elastic got bit stretchy . not as good quality imo

Mine came in mothercare bundle and washes up great hot wash or cold !

hana how did you make the sheets?

well he slept soundly from 7pm till 7.45 moaned a bit but nothing major compareed to the night befores let's get mum up everyhour on the hour guess we hahve our answer. will kepp him on blanket's till thurs then get him as couple of new sheets.

munz - I googled a few years ago, think it was 'how to make fitted sheets' or smething like that! it's really really not that difficult - dd had a toddler bed from ikea with the top and bottom that flipped up so a v odd size.
