What exactly is leave-in conditioner? Do you apply it in the shower after shampooing but just don't rinse it out? Anyone know any good ones? I want something quick and easy to make my hair look nice without having to use products, etc post-shower!

Yep, exactly as it says on the packet. Wash hair, get out of shower, put in conditioner. Tony & Guy do a good one.

VO5 used to do one then they discontinued it. Then Dove did one - which also prevented my dds ever catching lice - but it has now disappeared. I'm looking for a new one too as it is such a time-saver.

Avon do a leave in hydrating spray which is really good. They also do a damage repair treatment which you just spray in once you've finished styling etc. They're on special offer at the mo as well. If you don'y know anyone who does avon, you can order it online www.avon.co.uk

I use Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance which is amazing and smells delicious! Its always on 3for2 at Boots as well, which is always a bonus!

Hmmm - those two are spray-in whereas the ones I liked were creamy (trying not to whine)

NYcicles · 15/12/2006 14:30

Oooh, thanks everyone! redshoes, I would prefer a creamy one too so if you find one, please post!

I like Body Shop leave-in hair conditioner.

Avon do a nice one called Advanced Techniques also the Sunsilk range is nice as they do an anti-frizz one.

redshoes · 15/12/2006 23:11

Ok I will hunt down the Body Shop one and test it for you - we need to find a replacement for our beloved Dove one pronto

EllieChocolateOrange · 15/12/2006 23:15

As Hellomama says, Aussie Miracle is THE best. You put it on for 3 mins in shower and rinse off.

I have the charles worthington one - more expensive than some but get it on a 3 for 2 - love it, smells all orangey and nice. I find stuff that works great on some people's hair doens't work well on mine and vice versa, so a question of buying and trying, but def a good product, esp. if short of time.

I bought DC's the sunsilk one - half the price for using for nit combing (lovely) and it smells of coconut.

redshoes · 18/12/2006 17:51

NYcicles, I have bought the Body Shop one and it's creamy and smells divine - used it on dds tonight and it seems lovely. £5 for smallish bottle though...
I also bought a new one Dove have brought out, but it is quite liquidy. Not used it yet, but hoping it's good as it's 2-for-1 in Boots at the moment (£1.95)

JackieNoHoHo · 18/12/2006 17:52

Aveda do a good one too.
