Car seat for a tall 2 year old

We have to buy a new car seat for our daughter (was 2 in August but is fairly tall - 92cms ish) who weighs 14Kgs. We have always used Isofix seats, but she is now practically too tall for the Britax Duo Plus Isofix - is the Maxi Cosi Isofix for this weight any larger as a seat? Or any other make which fares well in safety reports?

Does anyone have any recommendations? We have a Honda FR-V which appears to be a candidate for "buckle crunch" for non-isofix seats, so we are keen to stick with isofix, but all advice welcome!

maxi cosi seats are pretty much the same size as britax TBH! (use both!)

do you realise they arnt actually too tall unless there eyes are over the top of the seat... not just their head

if you wait until she is 15kg you could then move onto a maxicosi rodi or a britax highliner or brritax evolva 2-3.... all of these do very well in safety tests

given however that she is only 2 and its recommeneded that children are in a 5 point harness until at least 3 you may be better off going for a britax evolva 1 2 3... where you can use the 5 point harness until she is 18kg... and adjust the seat accordingly (I assume, never tried one).... the britax evokva 1 2 3 does "ok" in crash tests, not that great but one of the best multi stage car seats ever (most are REALLY bad!)... and in the stage 2 and 3 mode it is a pretty safe seat.

you can then use this seat as a high backed booster (and if you wish to take the back off when the child is older then it can be a booster as well (although why you would want to take off the back when it offers lots of side impact protection is beyond me!)

btw after stage 1 car seats thre arnt really any isofix models... except the jane indyplus isofix... but otehr seats such as maxi cosi rodi and britax highliner are safer than the jane indy* isofix...

also in stage 2 / 3 seats buclke crunch isnt such a problem normally

Many thanks for this - we are happy to wait until she's 15kg to move her as long as she's still safe in the meantime. Hadn't realised that about the eyeline, so thanks for that too.

We will probably sit tight for a while and hope she doesn't grow too much taller too soon!
