Anyone know where I can buy a funky bandana for dd's head this summer? I tried doing a 'bandana' search on Google, but all it threw up were a load of bandana style bibs! Not what I had in mind! Have tried Next (they do one, but only as part of a set with a dress), John Lewis, Mothercare etc - all the usual. Any help gratefully rec'd....

Baby Gap had some really cute floral ones last year. Worth a try.

why not buy a hanky or material and cut it up? I bought 3 mens hankies from barkers in high st. ken for £4 and tie them round ds neck. Look v. cute with denim dungarees (think dukes of hazard) and are fab dribble catchers They look big enough for a babies head.

Thanks everyone! Tried Baby Gap Enid - can't be the 'in' thing this yr tho' as ours didn't have any. However, H&M did - thanks Star - only £1.99 too, so I was very pleased. Tried it on her when she was asleep, and yes Star, VERY cute. She promptly took it off when she woke.
See your point about the hankies tho' manna - it does look like a big floral hanky!

I saw some bandanas in Uniqlo (sp?)- and I think Mini Boden do them

leese · 29/04/2002 21:13

Leese, chain of budget, simple clothes shops, total wow in Japan and now appearing in high streets around the UK. Bit like a cross between Muji and Gap.

Lizzer · 30/04/2002 12:58

And just to add to Marina's message...only good for shorter people, unlike myself!

BTW Verbaudet have a couple of bandana's in the summer catalogue if anyone's still interested...

leese · 30/04/2002 18:23

Thanks Marina and Lizzer - and if that store does stuff for shorties, I'm on to a winner - I'm one of those who can't reach top shelves in supermarkets, so nonchalently pretend I didn't want the item I was desperate for - only women 5ft 2" and under will understand!!

I loved the bandanas too when my daughter was small, they look lovely. But I do have a word of caution and this happened to me when I kept one on her when she wa asleep and returned to find her
tossing and turning as it had dropped down over her mouth like a gag, I'm not sure how dangerous this could have been - but do take care.

leese · 30/04/2002 20:17

Thanks Cazhass - hadn't even considered that.
