I'm just looking at a 4.5 hollowfibre one for dd.

good info here - they say children need lighter duvets than adults...

Ooo thanks MrsB

I've been wondering this too, so that link is very helpful. Do people get two duvets for their children - summer and winter weight?

SparklyfestiveYellowFeathers · 22/11/2006 08:56

I never bother with duvets in the summer. Just use sheets.
Theres one on LX Direct, £8.99 for a 7.5 tog single duvet and I've got a £10 off code

Our children have 4.5tog duvets year round, and cotton blankets for summer. In the winter, if they are particularly chilly, we put the blanket over the duvet, but it's rare that they need that.

We also have an extra duvet in case of wet beds as they can take ages to dry. Make sure you buy machine-washable ones!

Just realised that dd has a sheet underneath her current duvet anyway so would probably only need a 4.5. Thats even more savings!
