I've been looking for one of these swimsuits for ages. Nothing in John Lewis. Any ideas? R

Rhiannon - they're on sale in the JoJo maman bebe catalogue. Called Float Suits, they're in blue or red, aged 2-3 or 4-5, price £29.99 - not sure if this is a bit steep? Anyhow, the float bits are removable. The website is www.JoJoMamanBebe.co.uk if you want to check them out.

I've got one called a "poly-otter", a friend got it from Great Little Trading Co. It was a long time ago though.

katmam · 27/04/2002 21:11

Blooming Marvellous do them, priced at GBP16.99.

Rhiannon · 27/04/2002 21:53

leese, thank you that was exactly the one I'm looking for, bit steep though on the price, anyone seen it cheaper? It's red and stripy with about 6 or 8 removable floats. Thanks. R

Polyotter suits are also sold in Lillywhites in London.

Rhiannon,

What size are you looking for? Is it for a boy or girl? I have a girls in the attic somewhere (I think) if you want it. DD last wore it when she was about 12mths.

Rhiannon · 06/05/2002 22:15

Ailsa, thanks that's so kind but she's 3.5 years! R

Rhiannon, did you get one of these in the end?

My ds is 3.5 and I don't know whether to get the JoJoMamanbebe suit age 2-3 or the one aged 4-5?

I wish there were chain stores near me that sold these then I could size them- but it seems that these are not on general sale. Strange.

bells2 · 21/05/2003 11:12

Lil, I bought one from Peter Jones. Personally I would go for the larger size as the one I have anyway, isn't especially generous.

Lil · 21/05/2003 11:53

ah good old John Lewis. Thanks Bells I haven't tried there.

PandaBear · 21/05/2003 12:22

Have you tried your local sports centre - ours sells them in the small shop they have on site - priced at £14.99

Furball · 21/05/2003 12:32

Theres one Here - Theres also a cheaper swim vest and suit half way down.

Furball · 21/05/2003 12:34

Sorry, the only time I don't check my link and it takes you to the home page.

Click on 'go shopping' and a few more headings of 'swimming' and its under 'swimming and bouncey aids'

Lil · 21/05/2003 14:32

Thanks for the link Furball, but did you see the prices? they are £34.99 and £37.99 which is even more than the expensive (I thought) ones from Jojomaman at £27.99! Having spent hours searching on the web I will ring my sports centre now .

Maybe they are all so expensive because you they are in short supply and you can't get them in the shops very easily >sigh< who knows!

Furball · 21/05/2003 20:52

Lil - Further down the page is £23 one. Also a jacket at £16.

morley · 21/05/2003 21:53

Have you got a Costco near you? They're selling them for £14.00 at the moment

Furball · 28/05/2003 21:39

Theres also some here
