Log in to eBay and search for "completed items" with the key words "dolls house 100". (I can't do a link to it because then you would be logged in as me )

You'll see some very nice dolls houses with 100 pieces of furniture, which have been selling for £60, £70, £80 lately.

Seems like a bargain until you see that the dolls houses are going for 50 quid at Toys R Us ....and were in stock till yesterday, which is almost certainly where the seller is getting them from....

They must be feeling pretty pleased around now.

Funny they just went out of stock because I was thinking of buying one just because it was so cheap, but didn't really like it

I am glad now

Cod's right - it doesn't let anyone else get into your account linking while logged in

I know of people who do this for a living, buying products for a good price then doubling it on ebay!
I dont see anything wrong with it if people are willing to pay it without looking elsewhere first.

foxtrot · 21/11/2006 16:55

i saw these a few weeks ago and couldn't believe anyone would buy on ebay without checking out the toy stores first, especially with the postage. But that's the wonder of ebay - many people assume it must be a bargain when it isn't.

Someone has posted a warning on this on ebay, which I read. Wooden dolls houses are a thing this year, because the ELC used to sell them but have discontinued. THe basements and attics for the old ELC ones are fetching a lot of cash on ebay.

FrannyandZooey · 21/11/2006 16:57

Well please go ahead and link ladies, I will be pleased to learn I am wrong

Yes laney I mostly agree, I expect people are glad to get the goods at the price they are being sold for, no-one is making them bid

I think the same happens a lot woth Primark stuff and I have happily paid over the odds for something I wanted - we haven't got a Primark near us so I am glad to get the stuff on eBay

here you go - I presume these are the ones you're talking about (and I linked from when I was logged in )
